Rotation Index
Rotation Index is an installation composed of 186 discs installed on a bridge connecting two buildings at Colorado State University. Inspired by the shape of the characteristic pivot irrigation system in Colorado, each disc features one or two PCBs specially developed for this project, displaying an animation powered by data from the university's green roof and environmental data collected around the campus.
The animations generated from this data allow the public to visualize the evolution of factors influencing plant growth and the environment around the building. This installation sparks curiosity and interest by directly exposing the public to research related to plant development in an aesthetic manner.
