WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE ?
Commissioned for the U.K. City of Culture 2017, this project, who is taking place in 3 different location in the city, invite people to walk across the old town, driven by the choreography of old Line Assembly Robots. The different space features different robot sizes, models and configurations, that, helped with several light units and sound systems creates a hypnotic experience for the visitors.
From the first sketch ideas to the derig, this project as probably be the more intense one to work on, as a massive amount of hours have been put into installation and coordination for the entire production team. I have been in charge from the beginning of the major part of the coordination of all the supplier’s team from Fabrication of the Metal structure, delivery of the Robots, Installation of Power sources on-site, and the biggest part of all the Technical plans and drawings. For the 3 different sites, I had to make technical documents, Including Technical drawings, Location of the plinths and structure, Power & Data cable Layout, etc. On-site, I took part in the installation and Cabling of the Robots, Control devices, Lights, and Sound units.
The most complex part of this project was to make the old technologies of the Robots, work with the new elements we were using.
